Okay, this is where I come clean: Taking on The Pre-Order Blog might have been biting off just a little more than I can chew, at least on my own, and so I’m looking for some help. Nothing serious, mostly just someone to help me “catch up” on what pre-order bonuses and special editions are currently active and where they can be found.
I had hoped more video game PR departments would be on board with providing information on upcoming pre-orders for their games, but the truth is… kind of murky, truth be told. There’s an odd mix of no information provided, or not having all the details, such as precisely where some pre-order bonuses are available. Sometimes they seem rather unaware of there being any bonus at all, or at least of certain ones; other times, they can’t provide any pictures. As a result, trying to keep up has been a bit of a mess, and it’s fallen by the wayside as I’ve worked on various other projects, and so The Pre-Order Blog has suffered.
I still believe in the site’s purpose, and hope one or two individuals might be able to help me keep an eye on things– gather information, send links, and so forth. No writing is necessary, as I can handle that part; it’s rounding up the information that has proven more difficult for me, though if you want to write for the blog here, we can see what can be worked out.
Also of note: I’ve scaled back on trying to cover pre-order bonuses worldwide, but I’m open to doing it again if we can make it work. For now, though, I’m content with covering the United States and Canada, unless something extremely cool comes up elsewhere– we can always make exceptions.
